MUFC v Levin Vets

Manakau United FC continued their rich vain of form to extend their unbeaten run at Stade De Manakau. A first half hat-trick by leading goalscorer Mike Urlich(pictured) made the oranges taste sweeter at halftime.
Confident defending and control pushing forward created space on the left for Manakau where Shaan Eagle delivered a cross for Mike Urlich to head past the stranded Vets keeper. A second followed shortly after, again from a well delivered ball Urlich used his height to place his second header in the corner of the net. His hat-trick was completed from the penalty spot.
Levin Vets never allowed Manakau to relax from the opening whistle and Manakau could ill afford to relax. This was evident at the start of the second half when the Vets came out with gusto. A long range shot deceived the Manakau keeper to give the visitors hope. Some excellent football in testing conditions was being played. Breaking the offside trap late in the second half, Shaan Eagle secured the points for Manakau with a well taken goal.

MUFC v Waikanae Strollers

At a wet Manakau Domain, Manakau United continued their home winning streak with a 4 - 0 victory over a spirited Waikanae team.
After a tight start to the game where midfields cancelled each other out Manakau broke the Waikanae defence and Jamie Lamplough slotted home to open the scoring. Tight control and good skills shown by the Waikanae midfield were negated by the solid Manakau defence.
Flowing football from defence, through midfield to attack allowed Atain Halley to use his pace to round the keeper and finish from a tight angle. Following more good work from the team a third goal followed shortly after with Jamie Allcock hitting the target from close range.
Waikanae regrouped at half time and started the second half strongly, forcing the Manakau defence to work hard to maintain a clean sheet.
A successful penalty by Mike Urlich completed the scoring and secured the points.
